Quest to The Great Wall of China (Part vi)

Thanks to my class-less friday, I got time to write. Sorry for the looong delay. Terlalu excited ke Indonesia, sampai jadi malas nak update cerita lama. Bila agaknya boleh travel lagi ni.. Oh, for travel tips yang super berguna, boleh baca entries under this Mr/s X label.

Day 6: 14 December 2010

The day started with a breakfast. Rasanya teda lawatan ke tempat yang menarik untuk hari terakhir kami di Bejing kecuali ke Masjid tua Niujie. Lets go through the pics.

Can you see the macet-ness? and the frozen river. Budaya suka bersenam warga kota Beijin patut kita contohi. They like to walk and jog awal pagi. The picture was captured from in the bus - timeni kami nak ke restoren untuk breakfast dari hotel.

Pedestrian. Seriously, the weather sangat best untuk long walks. Sebelum masuk restoren, ambil gambar persekitaran dulu..

Twas during breakfast if Im not mistaken. Confused with a picture I took during lunch -.-

Seingat saya, kami ke sebuah pasar/market selepas breakfast. Time ni kedai-kedai baru bukak so diorang sangat tak berkira dengan harga yang customer nak. Mengikut kepercayaan depa, first sale itu sangat penting untuk pastikan diorang dapat tuah for the whole day. Tuah dalam perniagaan lah. Kami pun rasa syok la sebab tak perlu nak bertikam lidah mintak discount. The reason why they will and no matter what will sale the goods at unreasonable price is their wage for being the penjaga kedai is not much. Sangat sedikit. So, cara untuk survive is by marking up the price.

BJ? Benazir Japiril. Hehe. BJ for Beijing I guess? Ohya, got a story to share. I got scolded by a woman selling the exact same tees sebab nak mintak kurang 30RMB for 2 pieces. Dia kata "all you Malaysian people are crazy! No wonder u got a lot crazy hospital. We don't have crazy hospital here!!!" dengan penuh bersemangat menggunakan nada marah. Ironic eh? siapa yang gila sebenarnya ni? jual baju je pun.. That's why I hate these markets. Tapi pengalaman tu memang priceless lah. Haha. Memang terasa nak hadiahkan sebiji penampar kepada beliau tapi.. kena behave lah kat tempat orang kan. Minah jual baju kuang ajaq ni kat market lain. bukan yang kami pegi ni.

Dalam bas tak berapa sejuk. Tapi perlu jugak winter jacket. Kesejukan masih terasa. OTW ke Masjid Niujie for Zohor prayer + visit.

Niujih. The people around the mosque compound is different from the typical locals. They were friendly and know how to smile. Mungkin sebab happy jumpa saudara seIslam. Kalau typical locals tempat lain, langgar orang pun tak kata sorry. Macam langgar angin. Blah gitu je.

Classic. The mosque was first build in 996 and then it had a few rebuilding and reconstructions afterwards. Niujie Mosque the oldest mosque in Beijing.

The prayer mat is actually embroidered with 'Masjid Niujie' in arabic caligraphy.

A group photo with the locals. Can you spot me? Merah menyala tuu

Sebenarnya, time kami di Masjid Niujie tu, kami tak pasti time tu dah zohor atau belum. Nasib baik ada pelancong Pakistan yang pandai speaking. Dia kata dah masuk. Berlaku sedikit kebingungan sebab timing solat disini pelik sikit.

Patut kami dibawa ke supermarket ni time first day lagi.. boleh jugak beli maggi, keropok untuk dibalun kat hotel kalau lapar tengah malam kan? Ni last day baru kena bawak kesini. Sebab geram, mak and abah beli jugak maggi untuk dimakan malam tu.

Niujie Muslim Supermarket. Ditanggung halal.

Look what Ive found! Snek Perisa Ayam. Haha

Selepas supermarket, kami pegi ke market LAGI. Yang ni untuk kali terakhir dah ni.

We had enough visiting markets. Bosan. Best lagi jalan-jalan tengok locals. Thats Zul posing as a KFC delivery staff. They deliver orders using this dynamo-engine-generated bicycle. Economical dan sangat greeeeeeeeen gitew.

New sneaker. Oasis. RMB 80. Tiruan. Haha

Spotted a toy shop while walking around the place. Superwoman beli kan the one and only cucu -Arif a spongebob which she mistakenly assumed as humpty dumpty! Haha.

Bersedia untuk pulang ke hotel
--

Malam tu kami dinner di hotel. Travel agent bawakkan dinner ke hotel supaya kami tak consume banyak sangat masa makan kat luar. Awal pagi esok nak kena standby ke Airport.

The day end earlier to give us more time to pack. The fountain at the hotel start to freeze.

The last day is quite dull eh? It was okay for me. Most of the group members were already tired. Biasalah, pegi mana-mana pun kat dunia ni, rumah sendiri jugak yang paling best. Masa ni kulit dah merekah. Ada luka-luka kecil kat kaki mungkin sebab angin kering tu masuk celah-celah seluar. Muka dengan leher dah letak moisturizer.. tu tak merekah muka. Malam terakhir kami dihabiskan di hotel. Makan nasi yang travel agent bawak, maggi beijing yang dibeli kat supermarket, minute maid orange juice, sate biri-biri (dibeli ditepi jalan oleh seorang muslim. 3 kali pegi, 3 kali jugak terlupa nak ambil gambar!) dan Lays chips.

Rasanya, sampai sini saja cerita di Beijing. The last day cuma cerita perjalanan pulang ke Malaysia. Nanti saya sambung lagi okay? Till next time. Ba bai~
