Day 3: 10 December 2010
Besides the Great Wall, ice skiing is one of the activities which long awaited by the youngsters in this trip. Well, boss left me alone in a random Chinese bicycle basket while he ski(s). It costs boss 160 yuan / 80++ MYR to rent the equipments. Unfortunately, the ice is man made. What to do? no ice come down pour us this time around. At least the below 0 degree temperature is natural.
100 meter ice skiing down the hill slope. Boss fell down terribly 2 times. Tergolek-golek lagi.
There will be no instructor to teach you how to stop, to ski or else. The workers there will only help you to attach your ski boots to the ski. So if you wanted to learn the right way, you got to ask. But make sure you got your English-mandarin / Malay-mandarin dictionary with you.
Bersimpuh atas ais
Big boss tried, but .. he didn't managed to stand still before going down the slope
Can't recall the hotel's name. Morning Inn I guess? 10 minutes from the ski slope, 20 minutes from the Great Wall. This hotel is waaaaay better than the one in the city. (Cheng Feng)
Boss found stray Garfield around the hotel compound .Hei, where is Odie?

After 2 and a half hour skiing, we had lunch afterwards and pray at a mosque in the middle of Beijing city and then we left Badaling district for a visit to jeweleries factory and silk factory. Again, you can remove these visits in your itinerary. Unless, you really x10 intended to waste your money shopping those items: jeweleries and silks.
Like boss said, men or women, they wear kopiah if they are muslims. (Mosque compound)
Ablution for Zohor + Asar prayer
One of the interesting things they had at the silk factory: The promoter
Curiosity (Visit to silk factory)
From worm to silk to wealth
Touch this sphere 3 times only. 4 times will bring no good to you (Jeweleries Factory)

After the factories visit, we went to the Silk Street Market. This is our first encounter with the very similar to petaling street market except the market is indoor. Its freezing outside. No one gonna stay long out there. You want to buy you bargain, you don't want, don't even think to get near it. They were harsh and rude. They will pull you force you to buy their goods. Sometimes, you may got scold for not agreeing with their price. Just make sure you walk away fast from them when you did not agree with their price.
The market
You really have to be hard on them to bargain. Bare in mind, those products sold are imitation. So make sure you got the vely best plice. At least cheaper than the imitations in Malaysia. If you don't go to these markets, you haven't reached Beijing yet. Must visit!

We end the day with a very delicious dinner at a muslim restaurant near by our hotel at the city. It was packed with Malaysians. Haha
-Shadap oledi!
mmphhhh.
Day 3 Tips:
- We thought that the ski is included in the package. However, when we were there, we have to pay the ski fees. So, make sure you ask your travel agent every single activities in detail.
- Bring a lot of Yuan from Malaysia. Once you are in Beijing, its hard to find a money changer.
- Useful tips for bargaining goods at the market. Asked for 10 times discount. If they sell you a 900 yuan clothes, ask for 90 yuan. If they get angry or didn't agree with you, just walk away. They will call you back if the price is still profitable for them.
- Will add more bila ada idea. hehe
